Rajasthan Administrative Service, popularly known as RAS, is the supreme civil service of the Indian state of Rajasthan. The recruitment to the service is made on the basis of an annual competitive examination. The officers are included in the state cadre of civil service officers.
The cadres usually start from a designation lower in rank than Indian Administrative Service (IAS) (one of the All India Services). However, promote RAS officers gradually can take posts equivalent to IAS officers. The RAS exam is organized by Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), a Rajasthan government body. The RAS officers hold various posts at sub-district level while delivering various government services apart from conducting revenue administration and maintenance of law and order.

Educational Qualification:-
- Candidate must have completed the graduation in any stream from a recognized institute.
- Aspirants belonging to the final year can also apply.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: – The candidate must not below the age of 21 years.
- Maximum Age: – The candidates must not exceed the age of 35 years.
Note: – Age Relaxation as per the government norms will be available in the official notification.
Application Fee: –
- General Category: – The candidates belonging to the general category has to pay Rupees 250/-.
- OBC Category: – The candidates who are from the OBC Category will have to pay Rupees 150/-.
- ST/SC Category: – Candidates belonging to the Schedule Tribe and Schedule Cast will have to pay the Rupees 50/- as the application Fee.
RAS 2018 Exam Pattern :
The RAS 2018 exam pattern will help you in studying for RAS 2018 recruitment exam. As we all know this exam is one of the hard to hit exam in Rajasthan. To achieve victory in this exam you should have a full proof plan and you must have sight of the RAS exam pattern 2018.
RAS 2018 Exam Pattern – Preliminary examination and Main Examination.
- Preliminary Examination: It consists of the General knowledge/General Science, the question asked in this will be objective type question, total maximum 200 marks, and total duration is 3 hours for completion.
- Main Examination: It consists of four subjects: General knowledge-1, General knowledge-2, General knowledge-3, General Hindi, and English. Each subject carries 200 marks, so total marks are 800 marks.
- Personal Interview– Candidates who successfully qualified in the written exam than are sent for an interview, which will carry 100 marks.
